In our mailing list I gave developers more than 3 years warning before the old synchronous “RTSPClient” interface was remove completely (in May 2013).

If you wish to adapt the MPlayer code to use the new asynchronous “RTSPClient” interface, I suggest using the code for our “testRTSPClient” demo application as a model; see http://live555.com/liveMedia/#testProgs
