Probably not. I only used it during last time for comparing and testing, and 
that's why I came across the potmeter issue (it's too small for my eyes, I 
prefer big ones like KDE).

Right. Tracing back the potmeter in SVN shows no significant changes. It has 
been obviously never finally implemented and the current documentation says:

"A hpotmeter without a button. (I guess it is meant to be turned around, but it 
reacts to horizontal dragging only.)"

This gives an unclear statement about its function, and implies that it can be 
shifted/rotated by the mouse, but doesn't due to the discussed reason.
