Actually, we have the same problem with gl_tiled.

Should there be a common function to choose the visual for all X video output
drivers (currently usually XMatchVisualInfo()), including gl/CONFIG_GL_X11
(currently glXChooseVisual()) and gl_tiled/CONFIG_GL_X11 (currently
choose_glx_visual())?
