Use case? Considering product development target

and you need recent expensive quad core SMP cpu hardware (~25c/kWh) and/or closed source GPU video accelerator drivers and libs (Not supportable by Bino,too,
maintainer statement: "The currently used software decoding is sometimes too slow, especially for full HD stereoscopic content. [...]"[1] )
are off topic for a free OSS product, I've not fixed performance of libavcodecs/crystalhd.c yet, this makes not much sense and so Your pure formal(?)
development process requirement collides my (Transcoding before playback, less power cost) and MPlayer(1) (realtime playback) product targets in this case,

but as You request:

But no such list "mplayer-dev":

@MPlayer(1) maintainers:
Patch for You on FFmpeg maintainer commit(?) and dev process request.

Add vf_stereo3d filter high quality green-magenta and fix yellow-blue dubois anaglyph 3D output support
