Where are those options parsed? What's the right place to search for the problem?

I tried to find the code in librtmp but failed. As the parameters are described 
in the man page of librtmp, the parsing should be there somewhere, right?

I tried to find the "first bad commit" in ffmpeg with ffplay and rolled back 
until I reached year 2011. Then, somehow, I got problems to compile ffmpeg. 
Maybe something on my system is too new to compile the older versions?

That's why I thought, that ffplay is not able to use the parameters.
