Didn't even know such a thing existed.  Going to have a look at it.

That part is not intended to go upstream.  It's just a quick hack to
allow us to loosely bind our vidix driver to mplayer, while it's not
part of upstream.  Maybe external VIDIX is exactly what we'd need to use
instead.
