That would be great.

The string and list stuff is very obviously duplicate, but there is other
stuff like the ui functions which are either identical or only slightly
different. I'd like them to be commonly used, too. (If there are differences
we should figure out why and harmonize.)

And then there is the skin(load), widget(render) and config stuff that
doesn't need to exist twice.

But let's take one step at a time...
