Hi,

I have just one suggestion, please, replace

-if ! git clone git://git.videolan.org/ffmpeg.git ffmpeg ; then

with

+if ! git clone -depth 1 git://git.videolan.org/ffmpeg.git ffmpeg ; then

because I'm quite sure people who are about to build or hack mplayer are not particularly interested in the entire ffmpeg history. Besides it'll fasten clone/build speed and decrease the ffmpeg git server load.
