That FreeBSD continues the Unix tradition of broken "proprietary" (as
in "let's make it hard to use for anything than BSD-only programs) system
headers that don't compile on their own.
It's normally not a problem but "someone" cleaned up configure and now
these kind of issues become visible.
I hope it is now fixed in SVN r32039, please test.
And bug reports unless they come with a patch should be sent to mplayer-users.
