[MPlayer-dev-eng] command line feature to dump EPG data as XML?

Dear devs,

How about adding the feature of dumping EPG information to an XML file
from a DVB-S stream for instance?

Say,

$ mplayer -dumpepg -dumpfile foo.xml udp://239.1.1.1:1234

I saw some code in VDR, tv_grab_dvb and VLC but I dunno how to proceed.

Is there some spec I can look at?
