i also wish to thank all of the developers and helpers of
mplayer/ffmpeg/xine and other projects that shared resources, code,
samples and bugreports. without you i'd still have to use realplayer,
quicktime and windows media player!

your hard work helped form billion dollar companies (youtube). you took
an entire generation of confusing codecs, countless containers and
slow hardware and mashed them into one fast media project.

now if we could just get someone to write up a news entry for this
birthday.
