Because there are two players using binary codecs on OS/2. One is
MPlayer and the other is WarpVision using Odin technology which emulates
Win32 APIs. And VLC in the near future.

On other platforms, link feature can be used but not on OS/2.

So without this, the same files should be copied in separate directories.

As you said above, this is needed only for OS/2. So it's natural that
it's specific to OS/2. Nevertheless if you suggests a more elegant and
universal way, I'll do it.
