The color management filter was originally written as a "minimally 
invasive" implementation, thus the place where it sits now.

I am not that familar with libswscale, and unsure if libswscale is the 
proper place to handle color profiles. However, the software CLUT lookup 
is probably something that can be "transplanted" somewhere else.
