As long as that's not forgotten and we get svn-howto updated at the
same time...
The GUI situation for Git is still a bit worse, but since compiling
on Windows (and to a degree OSX) is a pain anyway I guess it doesn't
matter much.
However I think we should pick up whichever trick x264 uses to generate
"revision numbers", the hashes are really a pain for anyone trying to
support users.
