Thanks for the report.
I tried to improve the situation in ao_coreaudio by adding "help" as
an actual suboption and continuing initialization if help was
selected.

The help can only be shown if an audio stream is being opened, as the
relevant code is only called on audio output initialization. I don't
think there's currently an easy fix for that.
