[MPlayer-dev-eng] [PATCH] Support for DVB subtitles

Hi.

Two and an half ago, I submitted a mostly working but unpolished patch to
get DVB subtitles working in mplayer.

I now have other projects with higher priority, and I will not be able to
work on it in any foreseeable future.

The latest patch can be found in the mailing lists archives. It has still
the following problems:

- DVB subtitles are colored, but they were only displayed in monochrome.

- The patch requires the ass video filter; if the video filter was not
  present, the subtitles are silently ignored (and possibly accumulated in
  memory). This can happen if the user forgot the -ass option or if the
  video output driver is EOSD-capable.

I am sorry I can not finish my work. I think it is correct to state it
publicly.
