[MPlayer-dev-eng] Regarding development in Mplayer

Dear All,
I am trying to apply a filter on mplayer. I have downloaded the source code
and i am able to build it in Redhat Linux.
I am newbie in video streaming. I am able to figure it out where to start
and how to the use the APIs.
I would be really thankful to you people if you can guide me in developing
or explaining it using an example.
