[MPlayer-dev-eng] Proposed patch: DVB API 5 support for DVB-S / DVB-S2

Hi

I would like to propose a patch to support DVB API 5 which emerged
in Linux kernel 2.6.28. This patch also enhances parsing of channels.conf
to get additional options from the polarisation field. These options are
needed to distinguish between DVB-S and DVB-S2, and to set some S2-specific
parameters. Polarization field format is compatible with scan-s2 utility,
thus scan-s2 output may be used as mplayer's channels.conf.

The tuning code is borrowed from szap-s2 utility by Igor M. Liplianin, see
http://mercurial.intuxication.org/hg/szap-s2
