I agree with Reimar that trying to have VDPAU support in a release soon
is not such a good idea. It's probably quite possible to get usable
VDPAU functionality by then. But
1) It'll still change enough afterward that we don't want to get bug
reports about the old released version, support it in any way, or
generally even hear about people trying to it.
2) There will be enough improvements later that using the release would
be a very bad choice for anyone who wants/needs VDPAU support.
