It's not exactly "porting" - AFAIK FFmpeg has code to convert the
subtitle packets into paletted bitmaps (that can be used directly), and
MPlayer needs code to render them on screen. That's one thing I've
considered doing (I've done some other things related to subtitles and
rendering recently, and could probably do it without too much trouble -
though I haven't investigated the details yet). But there are other
things that need doing too...
