[MPlayer-dev-eng] Dynamic subtitle like on CNN

Hello List,

i would like to use some subtile feature like CNN has at the bottom. I 
used rve some years ago which worked quite well. Is there a more recent 
project which works with mplayer.

I would like to feed mplayer with some text. Maybe from a pipe or something.

In my case mplayer plays a movie file and afterwards i want to add or 
change some footer text (just like on CNN :)

What project/tool would do the trick? Am i best still using rve? Or 
maybe there is some bmovl2 or lgx stuff?
