Hello,

Attached patch fixes configure so that it doesn't use "hostinfo" to  
detect the running CPU.
I think the reason why current code is like it is is probably an  
overlook, but since I couldn't find the original commit that added  
MacIntel support, I may have missed smth, so I post the patch here  
instead of committing it right away.

BTW: this patch is needed to add support for Darwin/x86_64 support.
