current svn works ok for me.
./configure --disable-mencoder seems to be broken.
i even got to test your patch after fighting a bit :)

just run svn diff > direct3d.diff

using mplayer -vf rotate -vo direct3d file then going to fullscreen
didnt work for me.

fullscreen with a widescreen res file has a corrupted image in the black
bars.
