How is writing native K10 asm in any way relevant? I don't think that
K10 needs this any more than other processors, it is just the first
processor to have an "sweep it under the rug"-flag?
And the performance penalty sounds quite hefty to me (and probably does
not even include cache-line issues?), thus it seems like a really horrible
way to "fix" a crash issue.
Of course, I do not mind a having it as a configure option for those who
know what they are doing and/or can not fix their compiler, but for
those who use a broken compiler without knowing IMO the current
crashing-behaviour seems much preferable.
