With -vo gl/gl2. I have no idea if xinerama is available for X-servers
for Windows, too, in which case it would work also with -vo x11 ;-)

a) -xineramascreen is not supported by -vo directx, since
it does not use w32_common
b) these do (slightly) different things (at least in theory, I do not
remember the actual code for -adapter that well)

maybe. I guess having MPlayer go fullscreen on a display where you only
get a black/green/whatever box is not exactly a useful feature.

No, it is vo_directx not using the same infrastructure as vo gl/gl2.
