AFAIK we did have examples of DVDs where the vo would constantly reset,
and while that particular problem is fixed those DVDs probably still will
not play.
And I do not find it very fair of you to consider those who do not play
DVDs but instead MXF/GXF as completely irrelevant, given that at least 3
have appeared on the mailing lists they certainly do exist.
Quite a few of these cases result in no picture at all with libmpeg2.
But even if you restrict yourself to DVD: DVD menu does not work with
libmpeg2, too (actually I have a feeling this might be related to,
though not the same as the other problem).

I think that is limited to "working" decoders. libmpeg2 to me is
"buggy", its existence only justified by the speed difference it has
(sometimes, not always though).
I also think there was not a single benchmark done on non-x86, was
there?
