I don't have any calibration hardware, but I tried the icc profile
included in the windows drivers for my Samsung SyncMaster 215TW.

I tried it with "cm=dest=SM215TW:src_prim=hdtv:src_trc=rec709"
which at least does have some effect (visible if you look at both
images side by side).

The path search does not work correctly, break only breaks out of
the inner for (over the suffix list), the outer will continue if
there are still paths left to check.

It would be nice to maybe add this (as far as possible) to the xorg
and/or vidix drivers. :)
For example the radeon hardware scaler has a piecewise linear
gamma lookup table (unfortunately not per color channel) plus
a color transformation matrix.
