could try using a newer realplayer dll, altho i'm not sure
if they work or where to get them (install realplayer?)

if i were you i would try encoding on a different machine
or possibly with a diff os (win2000 or maybe xp)

lastly, you could probably use 'realplayer alternative'
which comes with MPC project. then use any directshow
tool to encode rm/quicktime etc...
