ah, r23243 seems to have fixed the problem as I saw it anyway
but the recent gnome updates are still screwey -- as I click around
on the Blue interface in various places, we see:

(I moved the mp3 file I was going to play, after the gui.conf was
last saved, so that's a valid error msg we should just ignore it
;) wonder why it's issued twice tho)
As for the other warnings & criticals, I have a feeling some ppl
will stumble onto related problems in other gnome-based apps after
those updates were released last week, I'll be monitoring those
maillists...
