His relevance to the question of whether now is an appropriate time to
achieve something for OSS is basically zilch due to the fact that he
has an anti-OSS agenda to begin with. Of course he's going to try to
tell us it's a bad time because he wants to push ALSA.

Of course he can argue on the technical merits and talk about why he
likes ALSA. But it's preposterous to think that he has any business
advising anti-ALSA people on their strategy due to a clear conflict of
interest.
