a small snippet will not do. It should at least be several minutes, to see  
the effect. For seeks in too short files, the difference would not be  
measurable.
And according to my imterpretation of law, it would be sharing content  
with others, which I am not allowed to.

Getting sued is not the point. I also doubt that someone would sue me. The  
point is "doing something illegal". And commercials do not qualify as free  
either ;)
