They aren't MPlayer binary codecs. They are (by my understanding)
various codecs obtained in binary-only form from various places, which
MPlayer has code to load. They in no way originate from the MPlayer
project.

Naturally. FFmpeg neither knows nor cares about binary codecs of any
form.

Add binary-codec-loading code to FFmpeg. Good luck.
