no, stupid

the user who commented out some things which she saw exploints on
bugtraq will really be happy to find out that mplayer in case of
failure will try its internal configuration files

IMO the only sensible thing is to fail if theres any problem with
the users codecs.conf and tell her about the problem not to leave the
possibly bad file there and then do something which might be the total
opposite of what the user wanted ...
