I am sending the first approach - to test you must use
stop-xscreensaver option. It moves mouse always not depending on
position.

I prefer doing this only on video window but it needs  a
little more code and of course means that user must know that if
pointer is on a menu or other window this functionality will not work.
But it seems to be reasonable approach too IMHO.
Test and decide if it's worth implementing.
