I dunno what Reimar's problem was but mine is that I don't have
support for legacy CJK charsets in my iconv, which mutt depends on (it
only supports whatever charsets the system supports, which is a nice
change from all the bloatware that duplicates the whole charset mess
locally to make sure it has them all).
