As i said, a "relatively widespread operating system", not the most  
used on the planet. MPlayer support for far more exotic devices,  
having userbases in the number of the few hundreds. And yes,  
universal binaries are not a necessity, as it is not a necessity to  
provide binaries, still it is a "nice to have" feature.
