You are saying that mencoder stores by default aac audio in raw mode?
I thought that you need to use the faacopts "raw" in order to do that,
or that options does something else (I don't know too much about aac)?

Anyway, how can I make avi or mpegs with packetized aac audio using mencoder?
Or do I need other tools?

Going back to the patch submitted with this thread, nobody else has spoken yet,
but I still find the patch necessary in order to avoid segmentation fault
with movies containing aac audio created with mencoder.

Giacomo
