Sorry for not first searching the archive... compared to using the
system() call for regular pokes your patch seems much more advanced! I do
get the feeling though, that that point (too many different interfaces)
was only made at the beginning of the thread. Later there seem to be only
technical things which you addressed in subsequent patches.

So why is this neither in the svn nor is there a final refusal in the
archive??? Maybe it was forgotten? Also, I can't seem to get the last
valid revision of the patch referenced in
http://lists.mplayerhq.hu/pipermail/mplayer-dev-eng/2006-April/042666.html
: 404 Object not found! Is the patch too old to still be on the server???
