Just a loose idea: have all of MSGTRs in libass begin with MSGTR_LIBASS_
(it'll probably happen anyway) and do 
grep MSGTR_LIBASS_ help_mp-en.h > help_libass-en.h
in case of standalone library. This way we get all of benefits of
help_mp-en.h without too much work to make the MPlayer-independent
library.
