So what are we going to do with pre8? 1) Apply the patch. 2) Do not localize 
the OSD message. 3) Make all the help files UTF-8. 4) Leave it as it is now. 
I think 4) is unacceptable, 3) may be the best solution, but it might 
introduce some encoding bugs during the conversion and delay the release. If 
you feel so disgusting to apply the patch, I think the only choice is 2). Any 
better ideas?
