Hello,
Under MacOSX, the current CVS tries to build altivec code without - 
faltivec and without #include <altivec.h>, but just a few days ago it  
did work correctly (even if with some "warning: #warning Ignoring  
<altivec.h> because "-faltivec" specified")...

This seems to be caused by the fact that the "Checking for CFLAGS"  
section of the configure script was moved before the altivec compiler  
flags style check. In fact, moving the "Checking for CFLAGS" code  
back where it was (right before the gdb autoattach check), fixes the  
problem without any apparent side effect.
