A lot of time I find MPlayer output very valuable...

Maybe MEncoder should be quited down, it is somewhat a standard unix 
program. But MPlayer is quite unique, and I allow it to break the unix 
philosophy, because it doesn't fall into the 2 simple genres of programs - 
those that do something and quit, and those that only wait for the user and 
do little... mplayer does both, and in general isn't very pipable...

Anyway I am somewhat in favor of changing the mplayer output into some 
cleaner/more idealistic, but I can't really think of anything better...
