I agree it's a bad idea to use RAR, but I must say I find it very
convenient to be able to watch movies with RARed vobsubs (which are
usually quite big) without having to uncompress them first.
Just think about projects like geexbox, which allow ppl to switch a
diskless PC into a DVD/"DivX" player.
