I don't think that is what 陆然 said. The conversation was about
subtitles embedded in a  container format like MP4. The subtitles are
in a file and need to be separated (extracted) from the audio/video
data, before passing it to ass_read_subdata.

Besides, no patch was sent that created those temp files, so should
you care what others do with MPlayers GPL'd code in the privacy of
their own homes?
