I guess because I'm usually the first if not the only one to complain
:-)

Being able to work with others IMHO is though. And ignoring other
people's opinions (as among other things contained in the rules) is not
helpful for that.
But I don't think there will be a problem, after all even my bigger
and optional suggestions were implemented without even a comaplaint ;-)
Nevertheless I'm not exactly for discussing giving SVN write access in
public, in the (probably unlikely) event that someone has objections it
makes things a bit... uncomfortable.

No, though it can be used as an indication for the style, for the
probability that the will just disappear when "the job is done" etc.
Not that I think it really matters in this case.
