(Hmm. Apparently I missed reading this patch as thoroughly as I ought to
have; it seems to contain the other patch I'd just sent a status request
on. Hopefully that means that the separate parse_time_size patch can be
dropped.)

As noted elsewhere, this is a much-desired feature. I'd hate to see this
patch get lost.
