hey! this works great, thanks. couple of suggestions...
i tested your patch using rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio1/essselection.ra

-bandwidth 10000000 works good, can we agree upon a good high bandwidth
value and then make it default? (as in mplayer calls every real rtsp stream
with -bandwidth 10000000)

-bandwidth 1 actually slows it down to 1 byte/s, can we agree upon a minimum
bandwidth option and set it? its impossible to watch streams at 1byte/s

also every time i use -bandwidth i get this: librtsp: server responds: '$'
otherwise this speeds up -dumpstream and -cache a LOT , so it looks great.
