there has been some chat on irc about this...

ubuntu packages missing mp3lib support
and not removing the audiocodec mp3 from codecs.conf to quiet this error.

ffmp3 is still included however, which seems like it goes against
ubuntu rules. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RestrictedFormats
