  Ok, that makes sense. I actually tried to set the AES parameters from the
command line but it didn't work. But it is nicer if this is "automagically"
done in the code.

  I also have a somewhat related question. Is it possible to play audio through
the SPDIF interface and the analog interface at the same time ? If yes, can you
please point me to an example of how to do this ?
