So your patch would correctly set the framerate right at the start of
playback and could be quickly ported to XBMC which doesnt compile in
libavcodec as far as I know (I'm trying to get this working in XBMC)?
If so that would be great.

I dont really know much about the origin of that file. Someone posted
it on the ffmpeg mailing list to demonstrate a strange audio bug. It's
the only HD dvr-ms file I have.
